We are down to two little females. I believe that one of them was the first to arrive at the end of May. She took it upon herself then to become the "guardian" of the feeders; perching on the metal bracket and aggressively discouraging any of her kind who dared to approach either of the feeders. She seems reluctant, even now, to give up her reign and I'm becoming concerned that she and the other hesitant traveler will leave it too late. I would love to know why some wait and others leave early.
