I spotted a female ruby-throated hummingbird at my kitchen window this afternoon. What a thrill! She was feeding at my blue salvia-- planted in a windowbox roughtly 1.5 stories above grade for just this purpose. My youngest son and I were graced by her presence for about 5 mintues. She sampled every Victoria Blue in the box.
