Monarchs took advantage of the light southerly winds today, and are definitely moving across Okla. On trip to OKC from Kingfisher from 1p.m. to 1:45p.m., traveling on Hwy 3 thru Kingfisher, Canadian, and Okla. Co., we noted 25 Monarchs headed S/SW traveling about 10-12 ft. in the air. They were all seen traveling alone. We counted 16 Monarchs on the trip home. Tomorrow the winds change to the N/NW. Hopefully, they won't all be blown to western Ok/Texas! Six new Monarchs in the yard this evening, large and fresh looking. Reported to Monarch Watch. My observation time: I was watching for ___2 hours and ___ minutes.
