We have fuschia bushes outside our door, and when I opened the door to leave in the morning I came nearly face-to-face with a brown hummingbird feeding at the fushias it flew around for another 30 seconds or so and then zipped away. I did not get a look at any markings. It was the second time I have seen the same (or a very similar) hummingbird in the last few weeks in that spot (the first time it flew up level with my face, less than a foot away and hovered for a few seconds.
