We observed 100+ monarch butterflies drifting down and around our farm house and landing in the tree surrounding the house. In our pastures that are also close to our home we also noticed aproximently 20 monarchs at a much higher altitude continuing their flight. The time of day was aproximaly 4:30 pm. Our farm is located at the top a hill. It has been a cold drizzly on and off day. We watch for 45 min and the butterflies we no longer visible in the sky but could be seen in clusters in the trees.
