Yesterday on 9/25 I saw a monarch butterfly swoop by me while I was gardening. Later that day I noticed a very chubby monarch caterpillar hanging onto a plant stem. It is right near some milkweed, so it can crawl over when necessary. I think it is ready to spin it's cocoon any day now.

This is in Northeastern Pennsylvania-- Trucksville, Pa. My observation time: I was watching for __0_ hours and _45__ minutes.
