On Saturday morning I went to empty the trash and looked over at my butterfly bush. There were two Monarchs. I ran back in the house to get my camera. I know two is not as exciting as seeing thousands of Monarchs, but for me it was. One of the Monarch's colors were faded and his hind wings were tattered. I could see that he had already come a very long distance. Later in the afternoon there were five more Monarchs on the bush. They are coming through Amarillo on their way to Mexico.
