Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/27/2010

Number: 1

About 5:30 pm I was sitting at my computer when a hummer flew up to the window feeder. It appeared to be a small immature female with no color under the throat. A little while later my husband and I watched one going from Penta to Penta, flying quickly all around the side yard. Do not know if that was the same one as at the feeder. Just before dusk, an immature male came to the window feeder. I could see some of the color coming in the gorget area. I have not seen the mature male that had been around since the 28th of August since last Friday, the 24th.
