Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/28/2010

Number: 1

My last sighting prior to today was Sept. 19th. I thought it would be the last one, but this morning I was getting in the hot tub around 7AM - a cool and drizzly day in southern ontario, when lo and behold I had a female visitor at the feeder on the deck. When I got out, I went and got my coffee, sitting under the eaves and watched. Two females appeared, chasing each other around the garden. I have lots of blooms, the cardinal climber, cypress vine, mexican flag and honesuckle are all blooming beautifully, and they spent their time between the vines and perching on the clothesline, the family of cardinals we have feeding from the peanut basket were perching beside the two hummers. It seems the rainy drizzly days increase the activity in my garden.
