9/21/10 and 9/21/10 I observed the four humming birds were quite active (more so than usual) at my two feeders and I suspected migration was imminent. This week I have seen 2 of the four. One in particular, quite robust, is spending a great deal of time perched at the feeder, flying between two perches and sitting. With size increase flying, I figure, is more tiring and tedious, though I certainly hope this little gal can leave soon. I also suspect this may be one of the juveniles.
A second hummer also remains though is seen far less frequently at the feeder (i the back of my yard), observed yesterday eating at the back feeder and early this morning buzzing the perched hummer.
