My fourth grade classroom watched this caterpillar go through its stages of growth as a caterpillar, change into a chrysalis, and then emerge as a female butterfly. We kept it until its wings had dried thoroughly. It was tagged as part of the Monarch Watch before we released it. My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and ___ minutes.
