Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/28/2010

Number: 1

This beautiful male emerged from its chrysalis on Sept. 27 shortly after noon. His wings were still not quite dry at 2:45 pm, but we did get enough quick looks to see that it was a male. He was given some fresh cut flowers and left overnight in the classroom. The next morning he was tagged as part of the Monarch Watch and was released to join his fellow monarchs on their journey to Mexico. My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and ___ minutes.
