Still seeing one or two VERY fat females at the bird feeders throughout the day. Interesting note: this fall the feeders have been plagued with wasps, and usually the hummingbirds just go away and come back when the wasps have scattered. Yesterday, I saw a female (or 2?) poke and pull the wasps off the feeder with her beak and then drink from the feeder. Maybe she is getting more agressive, more desperate?, as she prepares to migrate? Or she has already come from further north and is very hungry?
