10/11 and 10/12 were warm days 85 51*. Wind north east at 15 miles per hour. Many monarch's Feed and had water all day. Monarch's were seen all around San Angelo. Some roost and late in the evening. I think they must come in just at sunset. The weather is so nice .

a friend traveled to Abilene 90 miles north of us. She saw Butterflies going up there around 10a.m. On her return at 4p.m. the Monarch's were along Hwy. 277 going South.

Over the week end there were some Monarch's Temp. on Sun. was 89*. Monarch's came in to roost after 6p.m.

October 7
It was 51* This a.m. and 87* this afternoon . There was very little wind. I think that the Monarch come to this area because of the water source.San Angelo is in the desert part of Texas. We have 3 rivers and 2 lakes. Monarch leave here going South and it is 170 miles to the Rio Grand River and Mexico.
The monarch's roost are in pecan trees and oaks.I live at the end of a street, and there is a wilderness area along the Concho River .The first Monarchs did not come into the yard where the plant are located. Today they feed on Blue Mist and Yellow Bells.
