Our group is mostly female. When I sent my son to take down a feeder he was interrupted by a brave female ruby. He was moving so as to not spill the nectar and in she came. He stopped, let her feed ,trying hard not to spook her. When she was finished she left a very excited young boy!! We still have in the 5-8 range.
