The heavy rain storm blew down my hummingbird feeders, and since I hadn't seen any hummers in a few days, I removed them. I still have, however, lots of salvia and morning glories blooming. This afternoon I saw a female feeding at the flowers. It appeared to be a mature female.

I don't remember ever seeing one in October before.
