Yesterday afternoon a chrysalis we had found attached to a spearmint leaf 2 weeks ago hatched! After being inside for a couple hours my son took it out and put it on some mesh on the rabbit cage. About 6 pm an hour before sunset I was concerned about it eating before dusk so he put it on a nearby flower. When I checked close to 7 pm it was no longer on that flower. I do pray it will be able to fly south safely!
