Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/03/2010

Number: 1

a male RTH was at my feeder for three days now, i noticed he had one red feather on his throat, and today he has three! if this is the same one thats been coming to the feeder i have been calling him a she! i hope he hasnt actually run off a female and claimed the feeder for himself.. im going to put out another feeder elsewhere JIC and watch if i get a visitor there too. i am down to two feeders, but i doubt anyone is going to it since its a non drip feeder, im afraid it isnt exactly 'producing' for the hummers. it is the homestead nectar gem brand http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/416Dduy5mZL._SL500_AA300_.jpg
has anyone used this feeder? i have not seen a hummingbird feed on it.
btw i have taken a photograph of the male RTH today
