Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/03/2010

Number: 1

Rufus' and Rubys' got Charleston Humming!!! I still have about 5 - 7 Hummers visiting my feeder. In August, I had over 10 feeding from Dawn to Dusk. Now their numbers are dwindling down, but they're still darting in, eating, then darting out. I noticed a Female Ruby that stayed for over 10 mins while buzzing to the feeder then back to a Momosia Tree to Preen, then finally darting away. I suspect that this Cold Snap will push them on their Journey South by next weekend. I still have Plenty of Monarch Butterflies also.
