Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/04/2010

Number: 1

Tonight is 48 degrees(lows expected to be 37) and the hummers were busy.I have a coat on and they are fighting off each other at the feeders. I can see that many have left the area but at least 9 were at the 4 feeders tonight between 6 and 7:45PM. There were many face-offs but some fed together. I did not hear as much chatter as last wk. We have been in a cold spell, 37 degrees at night and 50s with periods of rain during the day. The mountains are totally clouded in and not much visibility. It is interesting that we have feeding in the cold and mist. Expected temps later this wk is 70 degrees so I expect I will have more activity than now.
