I still have at least two Ruby Throated Hummingbirds feeding at my feeders despite much cooler temps--from upper 40's at night to low to upper 50's highs during the days the past 3 days. One hummer is definitely a female, the other is a juvenile. I had no females at the feeders for over a week so I think this one may be in transit and stopped to refuel for a couple days. The female looks quite hefty--and the juvenile is weighty also. I am going to refill my feeders tomorrow (not empty yet)--but I imagine that either this filling or the next will be my last for this year.
