Walked the Falls Lake rail line the long way in from the east side. It was not productive until I reached the lake where I found decent numbers of monarchs nectaring equally on Bacchirus, Goldenrod, Rabbit tobacco.

Tagged and sampled 22 of 35 seen, wind made things tough so I missed a lot, but did get lucky and caught two males in one swipe of the net. It was mostly females today, 18F vs 8M, another indicator to migrations end.

Stopped at another site to catch 4 more off Goldenrod. Had a 5th but it crawled out of my storage envelope and flew out of my pocket while I was lunging for another.
