Today, I walked the Lake Huron shoreline at Harrisville State Park and observed a male monarch butterfly heading south down the beach about 5 feet above the ground flying hard against a south to southwest wind at 18 mph. It is a 100% sunny and hot day, (80F.), and we have a red flag burn warning. We also have 80-90% fall color going. My observation time: I was watching for __0_ hours and _30__ minutes.
