Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/09/2010

Number: 1

October 13
I am saying goodbye to the Monarch after them being in my yard in force for over two weeks. It has turned to much cooler nights and cooler days and they have decided to continue on to their winter destination. I was really concerned for them last spring when I saw VERY FEW in my yard but they have come back in force this fall. It is very rewarding to see this.Ther were only a few on the asclepias on Wednesday. God takes care of them for us to enjoy.

I last reported on 09/29/2010 that Monarch were staying around my yard on my Asclepias for a week at that time. WELL!! They are still here in hordes. It has been wonderful watching them flit from flower to flower gathering nectar and strength for their continued journey. I am so pleased that I can help these beautiful creatures on their journey. My observation time: I was watching for hours and hours of all the sunshine time of day.___ hours and ___ minutes.
