The are hundreds of them all over the bottle brush bushes. In 10 years of living here, we've never seen this many. Observation time: I was watching for 48 hours.

They went away around Monday, October 4th as the north wind picked up. But by Sat & Sun (October 9th & 10th) the winds has subsided and they were back. Although only about 60% of what we had.
