Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/09/2010

Number: 1

I overslept this morning! Disappointed in myself for not being able to observe any remaining hummers out at 7:30am.

At 9am..Hung 2 feeders out anyway....& was suprised & very pleased
to see a immature male RT hover at one of them...he was kind of disheveled looking...fur sticking straight up on the top of his head.
I watched from the kitchen window for about 30 minutes & saw a female RTH visiting the opposite feeder...don't know if they were together...but they flew off in same direction.

This week the weather will be perfect...80's & high 70's..
but nights are VERY cold... I wish them a safe journey...
but can't wait till they return here next April.
