I've dated this report for Oct. 1st, which is the last day we saw a female ruby throated humming bird. The last sighting of a male was about 9/24. Our weather has turned colder. It had been unseasonably warm, still in the 90's until about the 24th of Sept. when it fell to the 80's. Since Sept 30th, it has even dropped into the 70's.

We have kept food in our feeders, but it doesn't look like they are eating any since Oct. 1st. Today is really Oct. 9th and we have seen no humming birds since the last two remaining on Oct. 1st. I miss the little darlings. Looking forward to their return in the spring.
