Number: 1

Looking out of our cabin located on the shore of Rainbow Lake this AM a approx. 10am est. we saw an American Bald Eagle perched on a pile of driftwood on a bog apparently having his breakfast. I assumed it was a fish. Smaller black birds were trying to either chase him away of get part of his catch. He was about three hundred yards away and eventually after about twenty minutes turned into the wind and lifted off flying low down along the lake probably to find more breakfast. We have seen them in flight in this area but never relaxing on driftwood. We are in the Adirondack Mtns. elev. approx 1750ft. Regularly see Fish Eagles catching fish in front of our house..Thanks..
