I noticed them last friday, Oct 8, while I was
working around in my garden...It was in the evening, they were lighting on the branches of the
pecan tree and it was just about dark, so I figured they were
stopping for nightfall... I
see some everyday.. my neighbor has a chain
link fence about 20 feet that is covered in a flowering
vine, they are usually on those flowers every afternoon.
October 11
This morning, temp 68F, saw 4 to 6 at a time across my back yard and garden areas between the large oaks and pecan trees before leaving for work at 7:15am. Just started seeing them in my neighborhood on Friday. Morning sightings are resting on limbs of trees (still cool at 7am), but they are out and gone by lunch (temp reaches about 82F here in the afternoons. My observation time: I was watching for 2___ hours and ___ minutes.
