Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/11/2010

Number: 1

We still have two Anna's Hummingbirds in our yard. They use both flowering Agastache and the sugar-water feeders to feed from. They do not stay at the feeders very long. Just taking a long sip and then flying away to the cover of the maple trees. They do spend just a little more time at the flowering plants then during summer. I wonder how nectar amounts vary according to season.
