Today our class at Riverheads ES planted our tulip garden at the front of our school. We are the first class to ever plant a Journey North garden at our school. Today was a hot day, and very sunny. The high temperature was 86 degrees F. We worked hard to choose a good place for our tulips, we wrote a letter to our principal to ask permission to do the project, and we dug in the soil today! Each student planted one tulip bulb, and they are labeled with a popsicle stick.
We are so excited to see our tulips bloom in the spring!
