Wow, another monarch floating by this afternoon!
I was pulling up my tomato stakes about 2:30 on a very warm sunny afternoon. I heard a high pitched call & looked above me to see a huge hawk circling overhead. It lingered about 15 minutes.
After washing the stakes & taking them to the garage I caught a single monarch flying down the alley about 10-12' high. What a contrast to the hawk.
Very surprised to see a monarch 2 days in a row. Could they be drawn by the asters blooming in the front & back yard?
Take care & catch a breeze south/southwest. My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and ___ minutes.
