Signs of Fall

Date: 10/12/2010

Number: 1

10/12/10: This morning is was sunny but chilly. The wind was blowing and made it feel cooler. It has been much warmer than normal this fall, but changes are on the way. The trees are losing more leaves every day. Cottonwoods and Russian olives are the most common trees in our area. They are turning yellow. To see oranges and reds, we have to look at the lower growing bushes and shrubs. The blackbirds are grouping, many other birds are flying south, bears are eating berries to help get ready for hibernation.
