Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/26/2010

Number: 1

On Sunday, September 26th I learned of a late hummingbird attending a feeder
at Darlings Island, near Hampton. I decided it should be checked out, just
in case it proved to be a western stray, given the relatively late date.

Later that night (9/26) the hummer appeared and by a combination of views through
binoculars and some digital photos I was able to confirm it was indeed an
immature female RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD, a rather late-staying individual.
