Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/13/2010

Number: 1

This week another small cool front made its way down carrying thousands of beautiful monarch butterflies with it. The students knew that I was very upset about the enormous kill of last week. They were eager to tell me about the thousands of monarchs that they had observed in the trees this week. It made me feel much better to see so many coming in waves as they generally do this time of year. Hopefully the city will be more cautious from now on when they spray for mosquitoes.
