I was walking the beach/shoreline of Lake Huron today at Harrisville State Park, and I came across a male monarch butterfly washed up on shore at 1:10 PM. To my amazement, I found the monarch to still be alive! The temperatures have been in the upper fifties with the low in the upper thirties the last few days, and the forecast is for the same for the next ten days. So, I will attempt to keep the monarch through the winter, or until it expires. My observation time: I was watching for __0_ hours and __0_ minutes.
