Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/16/2010

Number: 1

Just counted 480 monarchs an hour crossing at the other
end of the peninsula (10:30-11:30). Counted 59 in 5 minutes
when I crossed the causeway at 11:45. Good flow today ...
clouds coming from SE, wind light N, 77 dF. Altus crossed
the causeway an hour earlier and called back to say she
had counted 31 going over. Some nectaring this morning,
but not as much yesterday afternoon. Pay attention up and down the Texas coast coast right along the barrier islands and bays.

My observation time: I was watching for 2 hours.
