Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/17/2010

Number: 1

Saw a male and a female in my yard today. Had a couple of monarchs visit a few weeks ago, and had at least 50-60 eggs laid on my milkweed. All of the caterpillars died after a couple of days from hatching however. No eggs since, not even today. There are not the usual amount of Monarchs here this year. Sightings are rare. Two of my friends had eggs and then caterpillars on their milkweed around the same time as me, and their caterpillars died as mine did. They have not had any new egg deposits either. :(
