Saw lots of monarchs flying and resting on goldenrod at Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. I went to photograph birds, so did not attempt to count the monarchs. To summarize: the monarchs were plentiful My observation time: I was watching for 1 hours and 15 minutes.
