October 17, 2010 In the late afternoon, I noticed my cat staring at something in my flower garden. So I got up to go check it out. I was amazed at what I saw: a Monarch butterfly sitting on one of my sunflowers. This is the first that i have seen around my area since I have been here (3 years). I monitored him for about 20 minutes while he went from flower to flower. I also got photos. I never realized just how beautiful these Monarchs are until now. My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and _20__ minutes.
