Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/19/2010

Number: 1

Is it possible that what I witnessed today on the Causeway that crosses Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana was a migration of Monarchs? While driving, I began to realize that I was constantly seeing constantly a flight of something clearly all heading in the same direction; they seemed bigger than moths but smaller than birds, and then I saw that it had orange wings. One even found its death, I am pretty sure, on my windshield, I felt awful, in fact, when I think about what I saw, if it was the Monarch migration, I will remember it as bitter sweet. Anyway, could it be that I saw what I think I saw?
