There is a small riparian area with permit access only where queens, viceroys, and occasional monarchs frequent. The numbers vary day to day, but the monarchs appear to come off the river at night, then usually continue on the next day. Sometimes there are 6, other times none. Usually there are 2 to 4 that I see. We tagged three and found they usually stay at most two days but are usually gone the next day when we visit. My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and ___ minutes.
