Spotted a hummingbird at noon feeding at the always popular honeysuckle on our back patio terrace. The weather has turned cooler recently and I haven't seen any hummingbirds for quite a few days by now, but will definitely plan to be leaving feeders out for the hummers to, at least, Nov 1st in coming years to help them with emergency fuel for their migrations through and from Southern New England. The honeysuckle and the window boxes with flower for the hummingbirds are about the only things still blooming around my house, and there cannot be many insects left for their dining requirements, either.
