I was standing on the river bank with an ASU graduate student and a monarch volunteer when a large monarch flew out of the willow trees, flew sky high then headed with fast determination due west following the river. On the way to the overwinter sites in CA? My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and ___ minutes.
