The first of October I reported several hundred Monarchs roosting
around my home. Within a week they left and I have only seen three or four since. I was really disappointed; was looking forward to having a large number roosting this year.
Well they must have changed their migration route; they are gathering again. Was out moving water sprinklers and noticed a hundred (more or less)in the trees in the yard. I didn't expect this. Most years they arrive roost for about a month and leave on the first strong cold front.
