We noticed that the soil was very muddy in our garden. It hasn't been rainy so we think it is from the automatic sprinkler system on our playground. It was hard to dig up the soil because it was so muddy. Today it was 59 degrees F / 15 degrees C outside when we planted. We planted from 11:15-12:15. We each planted our own bulb and marked it with a flag with our name on it. We had a few extra bulbs so we did some experiments. We planted one too deep, one too shallow, one with two bulbs in one hole, one without being covered with soil and one bulb upside down. We covered our bulbs with a wire net so that critters won't eat our tasty bulbs.
