We have been watching hundreds of monarchs flying south from our ocean front condo while vacationing in Myrtle Beach SC. We have been raising monarchs for a number of years at our home in Greenwood, DE. We were wondering how many life spans it takes for the butterflies to reach Mexico and then return to our area each year? My observation time: I was watching for 2 hours.
