Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/20/2010

Number: 1

We still have one hummingbird! Our other two (male and female) have already gone on vacation, but our young male is still flitting around our feeders. I hung two more feeders, in the hopes of attracting migrating hummers. I know that some (a very few) hummers will stay for the winter. Whether ours will be one of them, I don't know, but I will keep the feeders filled with fresh nectar in case one or more hummers decide to winter over near our feeders. BTW, our little hummer seems to really like the new feeder I hung under our live oak tree. It's shady and with the Spanish moss hanging from it he is more camouflaged.
