Monarch Adult Sighted

I had the most wonderful one hour close encounter with ONE monarch today. It was amazing. We had wonderful weather and I was out gardening when this monarch came down into my yard. I have lots of flowers blooming: buddleia, red salvia, dahlia, chrysanthemums, rosemary, petunia, impatience etc. This monarch started on the salvia and I tried to get close to look, and then to take photos. It took flight every time I came near, but it must have been very hungry because it stayed in on my plants. It overcame its fear and let me come closer and closer with my camera. At one point it even flew between my legs and the plant, a space only four inches wide, to change flowers. I took the most amazing photos and videos some as close as an inch away from the butterfly. The butterfly was all intact and amazingly beautiful. My pictures are "killer" and my experience was wonderful...a true awesome blessing. My observation time: I was watching for __2_ hours.
