Saw thousands of monarchs while crossing Ponchartrain Bridge (24 miles long). It seems that they use the bridge as a rest stop in that long flight over water.

Saw a dozen or so per minute flying west along the bank of Lake P toward the bridge earlier in the week while biking. My observation time: I was watching for _0__ hours and _25__ minutes.
